What is deprivation of liberty and how to assess capacity.
Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards (DOLS) came into force in 2009, following the Mental Capacity Act (2007). Both have been designed to strengthen the protection of vulnerable adults.
This course provides background to the Mental Capacity Act, its relationship to Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards, and how those working within the care sector can ensure compliance.
